New Primary School Lunch Menu
Fri 09 May 2025Please see below a copy of the New Primary School Menu which starts on Monday 12th May 2025.
RCT's School Catering Dietitians have been working diligently behind the scenes to develop a new menu, which meets current Welsh Government Food and Drink Standards, whilst making incremental steps towards the proposed Healthy Eating in Schools Regulations, which may come into force in 2026.
After Whitsun half term, from Monday 2nd June, the pupils in years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will have the option to make main meal choices each day from the menu, at registration time. We will discuss the changes with the children in class and run through the menu choosing options before the end of this half term.
Medically Prescribed Dietary Requirements
As we prepare for the release of the new menu, it is essential all medically prescribed diets are fully updated on the Catering Services system. Please could we ask that you log in to
https://customerportal.rctcbc.gov.uk/medicallyprescribeddietaryrequest and review your child's allergies and/or specific dietary requirements. If there are any changes or there is no longer an allergy present, you will need to resubmit the online form with this information.
Thank you for your continued support
