New school information
We are now in the final stages of Phase 1 of the new school build and I hope you are as excited as we are at the prospect of moving in.
The handover of the school was due to take place on Monday 10th February giving us time to bring all children over for familiarisation visits, and prepare videos for parents and carers for dropping off and picking up arrangements. However, in undergoing the final checks ready for the handover to the school, an issue has been found with the air units above each class. This has resulted in a delay of approximately two weeks for hand over, with the new build still being classified as a building site. This means we have limited access and any access needs to be fully supervised. Morgan Sindall are desperately trying to resolve the issue before we break up for half term so we are hopeful we can still bring the children over for an initial visit.
This work will not, we have been assured, effect the starting date for pupils which remains Thursday 6th March.
Once we are allowed full access, we will record videos for information on the start and end of the school day and advice on movement around the school. These will be shared with all families before pupils return to school.
These arrangements will be provisional at first, as we will need to monitor how well they work, please bear with us if arrangements need to change should there be issues arising.
We are hopeful that Phase 2- The development of the school grounds, will not cause too much disruption to the day to day workings of the school or parents/ carers morning and afternoon arrangements.
Thank you for your continued understanding
