We are a two form English medium Nursery and Primary School situated in the heart of Pontyclun Village.

It is a pleasure and an honour to welcome you to Pontyclun Primary School! We are very proud of our school, its pupils and the community which we serve.

At Pontyclun, we believe that every child deserves the best education and we have the highest expectations for every child who attends our school. Our aim is for them to reach their full potential by giving them the education that they need today and setting them up with every chance to succeed tomorrow.

Our pupils are at the heart of everything we do and together we ensure that our pupils feel happy and safe. We endeavour to raise standards by providing pupils with a learning environment that allows them to be curious, resilient and ambitious. Kindness, equality and well-being are at the heart of all that we do in order for our pupils to respect themselves, others and the environment. All of the staff and pupils work hard to ensure we keep being the best we can possibly be.  We set high standards of work, look to provide challenge in all we do and achieve this through providing a broad and balanced curriculum.

We believe that children should be encouraged to develop positive values towards themselves, each other, and the wider community, of which they are part. We work together to create a school where positive behaviour is the expected norm, and where all, are treated with respect, understanding and sensitivity.
