Breakfast Club information
Fri 28 Mar 2025Breakfast Club
Unfortunately, Catering Direct still have staffing problems within breakfast club and are continuing to recruit but at present we are carrying on running our Breakfast club within our current staffing ratios and our breakfast club remains full.
May I ask parents that in the spirit of fairness, if you do not need breakfast club regularly to consider relinquishing your secured place for a parent with greater need. Places not used for three weeks or at least once a week will be cancelled and offered to the next on the waiting list.
Please can we remind you that breakfast club is run to provide those children that need it, access to a free and healthy breakfast, this provision is not childcare.
If your child has not been successful in gaining a place within our breakfast club, then they will not be permitted into breakfast club. Parents MUST accompany their child to the front door and hand them over to staff to ensure registration is confirmed.
This also means that we are still not able to accommodate any Nursery children into our Breakfast club.
This is for the health and safety of all concerned.
We will continue to run our waiting list and monitor the attendance of those using the club.

Parents meetings - Monday 31st March & Tuesday 1st April
Thu 20 Mar 2025Parents meetings this term will be on Monday 31st March & Tuesday 1st April from 3.30pm.
There will be an opportunity to book an appointment on either of these days and these meetings will take place in the main school hall.
We are continuing to use the online booking system called 'School Cloud' which allows you to choose your own appointment times with teachers and receive an email confirming your appointments.
As usual there is only one appointment per child and it will be for a maximum duration of 10 minutes. These appointments are intended as a general catch up on your child's wellbeing, progress to date and next steps. At the end of your 10 minutes, should you require further discussion with the class teacher, please email them directly to arrange a convenient time. Teacher emails are attached below.
The School Cloud booking system can be accessed via https://pontyclun.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to make a booking from 6pm Sunday 23rd March until 6pm on Wednesday 26th March.
Once you have booked your appointment you will receive a confirmation email.
Pre Nursery Parents meetings will take place in the Autumn term. Should you wish to have an informal chat with Mrs John about your child's progress, this can be arranged for after the Easter break, by contacting her directly.
Should you have any problems when booking, please contact the school office on 01443 237 833 or email admin@pontyclunprimary.rctcbc.cymru.
