Uniform Recycling – LAST CHANCE
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is calling on all schools to take up the School Uniform Recycling Challenge and recycle all their unwanted; shirts, trousers, polo t-shirts, jumpers, skirts, tights, socks, shoes, shorts, boots, cardigans, PE kits and any other items of clothing that they no longer need. This stops them going to landfill. The challenge is easy, we simply need to collect as many items as possible and the school with the highest number of items to pupil ratio wins the competition. Please put your items in a recycling bag and bring to school by Monday 23rd September.
School Uniform Rail
In school we have a used uniform rail. This can be found inside in the main reception area. All items are 50p – please feel free to come and browse.
Lost Property
Please can we remind you to clearly label all your child’s belongings. This makes it easier to retrieve and return lost items. The lost property box is located in the main hall. The Foundation Phase also have their own lost property boxes within the year group cloakrooms.

Welsh Hearts
Mon 01 Apr 2019Welsh Hearts, a heart health charity, will be visiting the school on Wednesday 3rd April 2019 to speak to our pupils about heart health and awareness. If you wish to know more about them, please follow this link http://welshhearts.org/about-us/
On this occasion, we would like to ask for a donation of £1 per pupil. This is to go towards the cost of a defibrillator. We already have some money towards this and would like to take this opportunity to get closer to our target.
Throughout the day pupil's will be taking part in the following activities.
Nursery - Yr2
All Foundation Phase classes will be given a talk about heart health and the benefits of CPR.
Please can each child bring in a teddy to practice CPR on. Please can you ensure you clearly label your child's teddy, in the event of teddies wondering off / exploring, with your child's name and class.
Year 3 - Year 5
Pupils will be given a talk about heart health and the benefits of CPR, followed by a demonstration of how to deliver CPR.
Thursday 4th April - Year 6
In addition to their talk, all year 6 pupils will receive CPR training.
